The visit by Ministers Mahmoud Mohieldin of Investment and Tariq Kamel of Communications and Information Technology at the head of a large delegation to Hong Kong and Singapore, has been making news in local and global media.

The visit, aimed at promoting investment opportunities in different fields like infrastructure, financial services and CIT, featured meetings by the two ministers with several newspapers and TV stations.

The Financial Times, in its March 3 issue, highlighted the significance of the visit in attracting investments particularly to infrastructure projects.

It also pointed to big potential cooperation opportunities with Hong Kong, Singapore and China at the North-West Suez Gulf Economic Zone (SEZONE) and the ever-growing CIT sector.

South China Morning Post, an English-language Hong Kong newspaper, published by the SCMP Group, made great coverage of the visit. It said the visit is especially important in highlighting the cooperation and investment opportunities in major sectors like infrastructure, financial services and CIT.

SCMP underlined the Egyptian economy merits; on top is the high economic growth rate on those sectors.
